Getting Fit!!

Hey,

again, i know it's been awhile... I'm sorry.

Today's post is going to be about my journey to losing some weight and getting fit and healthy.

Now I'm not saying I'm fat, or overweight, i just would like to lose a few kilos to
a. feel more confident
b. to be healthier
c. to get fit
d. to be happier

I have for a long time, wanted to lose weight, but i could never find the motivation. I used to be incredibly active as i would play 3 sports every year and do a lot of trainings and practice, but since i've finished school i've been doing nothing. The thought of going for a run or going to gym, just became an "ugh do i have to moment" every time. I could never be bothered. I always felt that it was too much effort. Unfortunately i am the kind of person  that doesn't want to work for the things she wants, i just wished they'd happen NOW.  I have been coming to  the realisation over the last couple of years that, that's just not how life works. You have to work for the things you want and wish to achieve.

So therefore i have decided to stop wasting my life and stop telling myself that "i'll start eating better tomorrow" or "i'll go for a walk/run tomorrow", I'm just going to do it. I know that it won't be easy but the result at the end will hopefully be worth the struggle, pain and dread.
So i have made it as easy for myself as i possibly could.
I joined a Personal Training gym. Sometimes you just need help.

I had my first consultation today, discussing what i wanted out of my 9 week program with a personal trainer, what type of body i had etc.
Tomorrow is the goals consultation, and i get to meet my personal trainer and set myself some goals; how much i want to lose and what i want to get out of this overall. So my goal is to lose 10kg or so and become toned, fit, and obviously healthy. i want to come out of this with a body i can be proud of and habits i can stick with.

At the end of this week i'll have a nutrition meeting to discuss the foods i can eat and the amounts i can have. This will be great for me as i've recently been diagnosed as Coeliac so changing my diet and  learning what i can and can't eat will go a long way to help with this journey.

So i'm incredibly nervous and very excited to see how this goes. I'll keep you updated over the next 9 or so weeks.

If you're like me and struggle to find the motivation to exercise maybe try and get a personal trainer or even exercise with a friend, having someone else do it with you or making you do the exercise is better and gets you more motivated.

Wish me Luck!!!
