My 18th Birthday ♥

I had a pretty relaxed birthday for my 18th last thursday (28th May), but it was so special and wonderful. I had fun and i got to share with people i love. 

I started the morning off with waking up and opening some presents! I then went out for breakfast with a best friend of 13 years. She turned up and surprised me with huge  purple balloons of 18. It was amazing.  

Later in the afternoon i met with some of my other close friends at the Opera Bar. If you don't know the what the Opera Bar is; it is a bar/restaurant that sits under the Opera House in Sydney looking straight at the Harbour Bridge across the water. Its very good. So we drank  cocktails and ate there for a couple of hours, then went further along the water and took some photos with the bridge behind us. 

It was super exciting being able to order alcohol for the first time being legal!! Although i was annoyed as the bar tender didn't even ask to see my ID. Which is good but when you can actually order drinks for the first time since turning 18 you want them to ask for ID. But oh Well. 

I then went home as i couldn't go out and party that night as i had to get up early the next morning to go to Queenstown, New Zealand! (blog posts coming on that soon) 

I had a lovely evening with my family (mum, dad, and brother) and opened more presents and had some cake and champagne.

My favourite gift from my family was the illustration (last pic) my all time favourite Illustrator. Megan Hess. She is absolutely so amazing and i adore everything she draws, and wish i could have all of them.  She draws them with fountain pens and they are so simple yet so incredibly detailed. if that makes any sense? They are pretty expensive and she only makes a couple of each print so they are quite hard to get. I'd been wanting this New York print for Months and i honestly didn't think id ever get it. I was completely shocked and so happy when i unwrapped it. Link to her website here go check her out she's amazing... Megan Hess 

People keep asking me does it feel any different being 18? And as I've only been 18 for 6 days i can say no. It does not feel any different. Every time i order a drink i keep waiting to get in trouble. But i guess that changes haha.  I also don't feel like I'm fully ready to be an adult. 

Glad to be finally 18 though!!

My Hair Transformation

Sooo... two days ago (Saturday) i got an extremely substantial hair cut. Its kind of hard not to notice, if you didn't see a difference, you might want to go get your eyes checked!! :) hahaha just kidding. 

I was extremely nervous to get my hair cut, but at the same time excited and i knew it was what i wanted and needed. 

I have had long hair pretty much my whole life. I've always felt more comfortable with long hair and i just loved the look of it. I've had blonde balayage for 3 years now as well. As I'm turning 18!!! this week i felt it was time for a bit of a change. Now I'm not going to lie it took me about 2 months to decide that cutting it short was really what i wanted. I had to be sure. 

And even though i LOVED my long hair, i am super happy with how it looks and feels and am excited to have short hair for a change!! 

I used to take seriously good care of my hair, using lots and lots of different products for bleached, long hair, just to make sure i had minimal split ends. It worked as well, i managed to keep my hair in a healthy condition for YEARS. But i can't explain how healthy the tips of my hair feels now. 

The photos below are before and then the process of them cutting it and then the finished result!

This next picture is after they'd washed it and my hairdresser made a rough cut in the middle just to get rid of the majority of it so she could sit on a chair instead of kneel on the floor!! She cut the middle to make sure she cut the outside even. She then cut about 4-5 more inches off. 

How crazy long was my hair, oh my gosh. (I can't even believe how long it was).

Finished Result!! 

Even though she cut away my balayage there turned out to be still a bit of colour that ended up on the tips which i was happy about!. 

So happy with the result!! 

I'm ready to be a new Women/Adult!! SO excited to turn 18! 

This is going to be a good week. !!

Billboard Music Awards - My Best and Worst Dressed

Ahhhhhhh Music Awards...

I absolutely LOVE Music awards! ... Why you may ask? Well i love them because they bring my two  favourite things in the world together, in one night;... Music and Fashion. 

What's not to love about that? huh, huh?

All the biggest stars of the moment come together dressed in amazing and some horrible interesting outfits to grace the red carpet as well as photographers and every single judgemental person in the world watching, me being one of them. 

*Disclaimer - these are just my opinions, you don't have to agree and i don't mean to offend. Again, this is just my opinion. 

So here are my Worst and Best Dressed of the 2k15 BBMA's Red Carpet: 

Worst Dressed

J Lo

Sorry lovelies, but yes, i did have to start it off with J Lo. 

Don't get me wrong, she has an amazing figure, and can totally pull it off, but i feel like nothing can compare to Beyoncé 's Met Gala Gown, that i feel is extremely similar to this. Not a huge fan of this one I'm afraid. Her hair though.. is on point! 

Chrissy Teigen 

Okay this is just not working for me. Again great figure, but the horizontal lines aren't doing her justice. I feel like it could have been flawless if it was a block colour, but different coloured vertical stripes isn't working. Staring at it makes my eyes go funny. 

Kylie Jenner

Ahhhh this one pains me deeply to say. I love Kylie Jenner and normally love everything she wears. But I'm just not digging this dress. It looks puffy and completely unflattering to her amazing body and natural curves. The weird huge gold belt in the middle, i feel has only been worn to give the dress some shape otherwise it would be a completely shapeless and uninspiring dress. But it is a shapeless and uninspiring dress even with the belt thing in the middle. Sorry Ky not a fan. 

Lastly for worst dressed.....

Denica 

Okay firstly, who even are you? Secondly Ew. No. This isn't nor should it EVER be a thing.

Best Dressed 

Taylor Swift 

Okay i feel like this girl can do no wrong lately. This jumpsuit is amazing and she looks flawless and hot! She totally rocks the stunning yet edgy white cut out jumpsuit. Her neat but ruffled hair and dark eye makeup adds to the edgy look. She totally represents her lyric "Darling, I'm a nightmare, dressed like a daydream". She looks so pure and innocent (we know your not Taylor) but you can tell she has a darker side. Love it, love it, love it Tay Tay. Oh and congrats on your what?.. 7 Billboard Awards, oh no wait it was 8. 

Zendaya 

Okay I'm not quite sure if I can tell you exactly what i like about Zendaya's outfit here, but i really, really like it. A lot. The fact that she is 18 and already classified as a 'Style Icon' and is absolutely killing it right now blows my mind. This outfit is just so cool, and funky even though i don't really no what is going on with the shapes and patterns. I love the crop top look with the blazer and high waisted pants, i think it is becoming a very classy yet hip look. mmhmmm yep, i like it a lot. 

Kendall Jenner 

Why is it that Kendall can pull off anything and make it look good? Kendall is just naturally a stunning human being, so obviously when she debuted an item from her collaboration for Balmain and H&M coming together for a collection, she was going to rock it and look amazing. This sleek blazer/jacket/top/dress what ever it is that is completely beaded is a look i really like, especially with the thigh high black boots. (Heart eye emoji). With the sleek pulled back hair and the sleek looking blazer/jacket/top/dress she killed this red carpet look. 

Tori Kelly

Tori Kelly is a complete babe. I am so glad the world is finally hearing a voice/talent that I've been thoroughly enjoying for years now. About time everyone found out how amazing she is and that she has the voice of an angel. Fitting, as she looks like an angel in this stunning and flattering white tasseled dress. Im normally not one for tassels, but i like it a lot on this dress. She rocks it, just like she rocked her acoustic performance!! Nice Job Tori! xx

And last but not least .... 

Nick Jonas and Olivia Culpo 

These two were by far the best dressed couple of the night, hands down. Olivia is completely and utterly stunning and pulling off a beautiful black beaded playsuit and gorgeous bejazzeled heels. (Yes i just said bejazzeled, deal with it, love it). And then to the handsome man himself, Nick you definitely pulled off that metallic Maroon Suit very well. What a beautifully dressed couple and a beautiful couple at that. 

So these have been my opinions of some of the outfits i saw on the red carpet.

Here's something about me.. I absolutely LOVE Flowers, like love, love, love them.  (If you follow me on Instagram then you've probably realised this). SO Beautiful. A great place to find beautiful flowers is at Markets. There are multiple markets I go to on the weekends that have a great selection of delicious Foods/Produce, Gorgeous Flowers, great atmosphere and lots of people relaxing and enjoying themselves.

The one i went to this Morning is The Northside Produce Market located In North Sydney at Civic Centre Park. It is held on the third Saturday of every month 8am - 12 noon. Unfortunately i arrived around 10 so the flower stalls were looking a bit bare, (trick is to go early) but there were still some beauties! I had a delicious Free range Egg and Bacon roll with Chilli Jam which was delicious. While i was eating this i was sat in the middle of the market, and i am a person who loves to people watch, i love watching people and looking at what people do, who they are with, what they are wearing etc. I don't know why i just find it fascinating. haha I'm weird i know.

Then i went to my favourite Juice stall and got myself an amazingly refreshing and delicious Raspberry and Apple Organic Juice. SOOO GOOOD!!! I then had a walk around and looked at what stalls there were, and what was being sold. There was definitely some interesting things.And Last but NOT least I stopped to buy some flowers and i luckily got the last Pink/White Roses, so i was very happy. It was a great way to start the weekend.Hope you all have a splendid weekend.

Hopefully next week i will be going to my FAVOURITE market; Eveleigh Market, held at the Carriage Works every saturday 8am - 1pm and it is AMAZING. So might take some photos for you.
